GreyTec B.V. was founded in 2021 by Arjan Greidanus and Huzaifa Das.

Huzaifa (born in India) and came in 2006 to the Netherlands to do a Chemical Engineering Master study at the Technical University of Eindhoven. Arjan (born in the Netherlands), studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente.

They both used their chemical engineering background to work for several leading (chemical) companies, like Unilever, Sabic, AkzoNobel and Nouryon.

Their 25+ years of combined experience at leading (chemical) companies, like Unilever, Sabic, AkzoNobel and Nouryon, working in roles like R&D design engineer, plant engineer, production manager and plant manager, made them to understand how (chemical) plants needs to be designed, what the effect of material selection is and last but not least how to ensure a safe operation of the process.

As from 2015 onwards, Huzaifa and Arjan worked closely together managing several Chlor-Alkali plants for AkzoNobel and Nouryon, where safety, reliability and cost-efficiency was on top of the agenda.

Due to his Indian roots, Huzaifa was involved in a project in India in 2016 where a new plant was to be build, to extend the company’s business in Asia. For this project, local Indian suppliers for GRP equipment, valves and other products were to be found, audited and selected, to meet AkzoNobels specifications. The plant was built and came successfully in operation. This resulted in the knowledge that equipment from well selected Indian equipment manufacturers, can very much be suitable for industries all over the world.
